So while I was re-arranging my house today… bed is no longer going to be in the living room.. winter is pretty much over so heat isnt going to be an issue with sleeping! Anyway, while I was re-arranging I noticed the attic access panel again for probably the 10th time, this time I decided to finally have a look…. A side note to those that have not been to my house yet. It has VERY low ceilings especially in the living room.. I’m talking like just over 6′ high. So I’ve been curious as to what is up there for awhile but I didn’t have a ladder to get up there.

Tonight I was feeling a little adventurous so I made a makeshift ladder out of a chair and a dresser. Armed with my flashlight and bottle of Chlorox Clean-up in case there was anyone living up there. Because everyone knows that critters hate bleach right? right? I figured they probably did. There wasn’t anything that attacked me so I didnt have to use it.

I did grab my camera and took a few pictures. Evidently there is another ceiling that goes along the roof line. I think it could look really cool as an open floor plan type house with the bedroom somehow partitioned off with like a partial wall or something?

Anyway this makes me want to tear the house apart now. Not that I’d have time to do that or anything, its just kinda fun to think about….

And since I have pictures of everything… have a look!

The only thing that I can figure is that who ever put the lower ceilings in was either A) not very good at building things to code or B) a midget.

Also, the spiders seem to be having a wonderful time up there.. at least someone is getting use out of the other half of the house!
