After the Tigers lost tonight I was half watching the news that followed when something about an exploding keg caught my attention… but it was only a very short part about said exploding keg and I had missed most of the story by that time.

So I turned to trusty Google News.

Sure enough… there was a keg that exploded after being thrown into the fire at a large party in Connecticut.

Investigators believe the keg may have been in the fire for more than an hour when it exploded.

They say it blew with force that people a mile away heard the blast.

That is just amazing to even think about how loud and powerful that blast was. That is also a horrible way to die. The rest of the story can be read here

One time I threw a can of beans into a fire… and sure enough those blew up too. Also got beans all over the place…. Lesson of both stories is not to throw sealed objects into a fire. They just end up exploding, which can be fun, but not so much when someone gets hurt or even worse as in the case above killed.
